TÊTE-À-TÊTE: HANNAH

Meet Hannah, the magic maker behind the lens for our first lookbook. Under the moniker Lost in Wishful Thinking, she captures the world around her in a series of enchanting, enigmatic images. Here she talks engagement rings, real estate, chocolate éclairs and more.

Who?

Hannah Cecilia McCawley, 20 (Cancer), Brisbane.

What?

Photographer, girlfriend, uni student, dress-obsessed, PR intern, magazine collector, medical receptionist, flower picker, nature lover, op shopper.

Most valued beautiful treasure?

I have so many. They are things that have been given to me by the special people in my life.

Your meaning of beauty?

Life, nature and art.

What do you treasure most about your life?

An amazing person named Jean-Cesar.

Most cherished piece of jewellery?

The ring my Mum gave me for my 18th birthday. It was her engagement ring. My hand looks empty whenever I forget to wear it.

Favourite BELÁ TESORO product?

I loved the Sereno Necklace Jessie wore in the Speak No Evil shoot. I would wear it around my neck, with my dresses!

In three words, BELÁ TESORO is:

Edgy, pretty and glamorous.

The BELÁ TESORO lady...

Is an accessory goddess

Number one beauty tip?

Moisturiser with SPF 15+ every day.

Favourite wardrobe item?

My Nadinoo dress.

Style inspirations?

Anyone who easily blends new garments with vintage/secondhand finds will always be an inspiration to me.

Tunes on repeat?

I am loving Hunter Hayes and Lady Antebellum. (This is what happens to you when you date a country musician.)

Favourite read?

Frankie magazine and The Time Traveller’s Wife.

Last cooking success?

A tomato, chorizo and saffron risotto dish.

Beverage of choice?

Lemon, lime and bitters.

Favourite place in the world?

Yamba (NSW) or anywhere in Europe.

Signature scent?

LouLou by Cacharel.

How do you relax

Ideally it would be with some pretty magazines and a coffee or cider. I relax when I sleep.

Current obsession?

The idea of owning my own house. I procrastinate by looking at real estate. I am becoming more in love with the idea of taking photographs for a living.

Whose wardrobe would you like to raid?

Alexa Chung's! I would also like to steal her body..

Perfect day?

Sleep in, wake up in a vine-covered house in the French countryside, hop on my bike with my camera and purse and go to a French flea market where I would buy lots of pretty things. Then find a nice cafe to sit and eat chocolate éclairs and almond croissants for the rest of the day. I would also be taking photographs throughout the day, and have my boyfriend by my side.

Your loved ones would describe you as:

Quirky, weird and (hopefully) nice.

Life motto/mantra?

Everything happens for a reason.

~

We think so too. Thank you Hannah!
